Hi, Alan here!
I am a freelance designer who studied architectural design at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (RMIT) in Melbourne, Australia for 6 years. I grew up being part of art and design, joining various art competitions across Malaysia and Brunei. Thanks to my parents’ encouragement, getting into the design field led me into RMIT Foundation Studies in Art, Design and Architecture in 2014.

After graduation, I have been getting into architecture competitions with long-distant friends. I am also currently working remotely for Elite Tuition Centre, Brunei Darussalam as a graphic designer and social media manager.

Being out from my home country explicitly explored my creativity potential; I have gained experiences and inspirations from travelling workshops and international competitions, to meeting renowned architects and designers. Upon completing Master of Architecture with Distinction in 2019, I realised that architecture and design could potentially be the key to create an impact to social communities. I strongly believe the gesture of adding value will have a positive influence regardless of the scale of the project. Gestures such as solving real-world problems, knowledge sharing and helping communities are my way of respecting and acknowledging the existing context, which will be my greatest honour in bringing out my creative insights.
